Death & Dying...

How do you react to someone who's just told that they are going to die? Or that simply, they might die?

It's like they drop this bombshell on you ... At first it doesn't really register. It's unbelievable, like it couldn't REALLY happen could it?

And then, it dawns on you.

The possibility of "death" bowls you over.

What do you say to them?

Do you say "I hope you survive." ?

Do you say "Be strong, you'll get through this."?

They're already clinging to the faint hope that they WILL get through it. Clinging so tight... So hard, that their fingers start to bleed.

Their face has taken on the scars of raging internal battles, fought over and over. And they're looking towards a future of THE final battle. They have just that much strength left.

That's the bombshell my manager dropped on me today. It broke my heart.

She's the most amazing and one of the most interesting and inspirational person I've ever met. And that's not easy for me to say.

Even before I knew about her illness, I looked up to her. She's strict and keeps the whole team on their toes. She's strong and has the strength to come into work every morning and do her job, better than anyone else does, in the company.

I blubbered like an idiot when she told me... I wanted to hug her, but I felt weird, because she's my boss.

She's strong enough not to pity herself.

She was strong enough to ask me how "I" was doing. I was almost crying - and she was telling me, "You'll be ok!"

I felt so ashamed later, that I couldn't give her any comfort.

What could I do?

Blogging ...

It's been 2 weeks since I thought up a novel idea. Although, it still seems a little flaky, I have to keep working on it.

Life sux! I am upto my eye balls in debt and I'm looking for a lucky break. Isn't everyone?

Nothing seems right.

End of Blog 1.
